THE BACKGROUND
Axiom Advisor’s dealership consultants have the unique combination of over 60 years of hands-on retail automotive industry experience working directly in dealerships. Our expertise covers a broad spectrum of operational and financial matters in all phases of a dealership’s lifecycle, from the acquisition phase, through its operations phase and in preparation for sale or planning for succession. Our advisors are “car guys” and truly understand the language and complexities of the retail automotive industry.

Our expertise has been utilized to assist with many dealership Buy/Sells from Letter of Intent (LOI) to the closing table. Our M&A services include business plans, due diligence, valuations, quality of earnings, earnings normalization, buy/sell closing representation, manufacturer applications, evaluating asset purchase agreements (APA), dealership offering packages, and closings. In addition, our experts include CPA’s and forensic accounting specialists who can provide a wide variety of litigation support services, from record requests to open testimony depositions. Our litigation support expertise has been utilized to assist with a variety of cases pertaining to misappropriation of assets, safeguarding assets, tax matters, forensic analysis, internal investigation, franchise rights, lost profits, and partner/shareholder disputes among others.

We have performed in depth data analytics and have identified solutions to detect and deter different types of fraud including embezzlement (controller, CFO, departmental management), financial irregularities, payroll fraud, kickbacks, lapping, circumvention of controls, parts theft, pay plan manipulation. Our services also include DMS consulting, management assessment, fixed and variable operations analysis, and internal control evaluations. Our experts are proficient with major DMS systems such as Reynolds and Reynolds (ERA), CDK, Dealertrack and UCS which allows us to extract data to the finest level of detail with minimal interruption of dealership operational and accounting processes. Our experts can see and interpret the underlying details of operational & financial reports. We can also assist in continuing smooth back office operations with our interim CFO, controller or office manager services.
